Job Summary
We are looking for a professional Security Guard to protect our premises, assets and personnel. You will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions. The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report. One who can maintain a safe and secure environment for residents/ employees.
Duties/ Roles/ Responsibilities
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
- Apprehend criminals and evict violators
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Assist clients with loading and unloading their luggage
- Perform first aid or CPR
- Obtains help by sounding alarms.
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Required Skills or Experience
The successful candidate must possess:
- Proven work experience as a Security Guard or other related position
- At least WASSCE Certificate.
- Team player and collaborative. Ready to work with all persons.
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation
- Objectivity, Dependability, Emotional Control, Integrity, Safety Management, Professionalism, Reporting Skills
