Millar Cameron is the global leader in agricultural recruitment in emerging markets and we are supporting an exciting Jatropha oil business based in Ghana with their recruitment of a Plantation Manager. The company specialise in plant sciences and crop agronomy and are at the forefront of Jatropha oil production globally. The ideal Plantation Manager will have extensive experience in plantation development and will have previously managed out-grower programs as well as processing mills/factories.
The Plantation Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Project planning and development of the nucleus plantation
- Implementing Good Agricultural Practice on the plantation
- Overseeing and reviewing the out-grower program
- Working with the Sustainability Manager to ensure ISCC certification
- Overseeing the set up and operation of the processing factory

The successful Plantation Manager will have:
- Plantation development experience
- Senior management experience in Jatropha, Palm or Rubber plantations
- Strong out-grower program management skills
- Extensive understanding of certification processes for sustainability
- Previous experience managing a mill or factory
- Intercultural experience, ideally within Africa
