A reputable multi-national agro-industrial company has vacancy for a Production Supervisor to join its vibrant team
Duties & Responsibilities
- Takes full responsibility of the shift in terms of management of staff, management of production and quality targets to ensure the smooth running of the production processes in line with the company's quality systems. processes and procedures.
- Monitors, measures and reports on production related process performance as well as general issues, and ensures effective communication is maintained among the team.
- Ensures that all team members are able to identify root causes and take prompt and effective action to resolve problems in the line of duty.
- Works closely with other Shift Supervisors to ensure production handing overs are effective.
- Assesses learning needs and ensures that identified performance gaps are bridged with appropriate trainings to meet current and future demands of the company.
- Plays an active role in the company's Continuous Improvement Plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company
- Maintains housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace: maintains high level of timekeeping.
- Reports all maintenance related issues to the maintenance department for resolution, while assisting in troubleshooting the issues.
- Ensures that all direct staff comply with the company's Health and Safety as well as Food Safety procedures.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- An HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Nutrition with a minimum of five (5) years' supervisory experience in same or similar role in a manufacturing company.
- Possess strong leadership, planning and organisational skills.
- Possess strong decision-making and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Should be dynamic, energetic, self-driven, results-oriented.
