The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG) is a voluntary, not for profit organization that undertakes advocacy and service delivery in Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in Ghana. PPAG is a Member Association (MA) of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). It is governed by respectable volunteers who are the members of the Association. The Governing body, formulate policies which are implemented by staff.
JOB PURPOSE: To assist in carrying out Finance and Accounting and Stores functions at the Facility
DUTIES
- Preparation and submission of monthly financial and Commodity returns
- Prepares returns from the facility for input at the Head Office
- Assist in keeping and maintaining cheque book register
- Assist in taking periodic cash count
- Assist in keying-in Head Office/ Facility returns
- Pay all monies collected intact into the Association’s Bank Account
- Assist in preparing monthly Bank Reconciliation Statement for the Head Office
- Administer petty cash and make returns to the Head Office
- Receives money and issues the Association’ official receipt

- Prepares annual Work Plan and Performance Appraisal
- Performs any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Required Skills or Experience
HND or Diploma in Accounting, or equivalent qualification in Accounting programme with Computer knowledge in Microsoft word and Excel.
- A good working knowledge of accounting systems and procedures
- A good working knowledge in the use of the computer
- Very good interpersonal, and communication skills
- Must be honest, transparent and reliable
- High sense of responsibility, accuracy and be able to take initiatives
Must be a team player - Must have a dependable character
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision
- Ability to work for long hours and under pressure
