Our Client is an international offshore Service provider experienced in Steel repairs and paint work and is looking for qualified candidates for the following positions of Offshore Painters and Painting Supervisors
Painters
DUTIES:
- Uses suitable safety equipment e.g. harnesses, cradles, protective personal equipment
- Prepares work areas using special treatments and abrasive blasting Applies industrial finishes using paint spraying methods
- It is preferred that candidates have experience with 55k UHP machines, wet blast (slurry, halo), sand/grit blasting, and safety best practices.
- Abrasive blast and paint/coatings to piping, structural steel, vessels, tanks (internal/external).
- Working knowledge of coatings application work.
- Make sure enough onsite material is available for the days operation.
- Understand and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.

Required Skills / Experience
- Minimum 1- 2 years of working experience Relevant certification as an industrial painter
- Offshore Survival certificate Offshore Medical certificate
- Previous blast and paint experience on tanks (internal and external), vessels, piping, and structural steel
- Familiar with the operating and safety procedures for plural component spray units, airless spray pumps
- Relevant experience as an industrial painter
- Offshore Survival certificate
- Offshore Medical certificate
Years of Experience : 1 - 2 Years
Competencies
- Previous blast and paint experience on tanks (internal and external), vessels, piping, and structural steel
- Familiar with the operating and safety procedures for plural component spray units, airless spray pumps and conventional spray pots.

Painting Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To ensure that Contractor is following the technical requirements for coating, painting and cathodic protection during spool/risers prefabrication
- To supervise and inspect all painting and coating quality control activities following Quality Control Plan.
- To implement the COMPANY Technical Referential and applicable local and international codes.
- To establish and implement the Project verification strategy in line with Regulations and COMPANY requirements.
Required Skills / Experience
- Education to HND/BTS level or COMPANY approved equivalent certificate in any engineering discipline.
- Painting and Coatings qualification level I or II (NACE level one or two, BGAS or ACQPA-FROSIO qualified).
- Professional Experience (number of years): Around 1- 2 years of experience associated to offshore supervision of paintings and coatings.
- A good knowledge of COMPANY Standards and International codes/standards Comprehensive knowledge in coating, painting, passivation, insulation and cathodic protection
- H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.
Years of Experience : 1-2 years
Competencies
- Good leadership skills and good communication skills.
- Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
- Be skilled in using computer programs for word processing, database management, spreadsheets and e-mail communications.
- Language: English mandatory.
