About the Role

We are a diversified holding company overseeing a portfolio of businesses spanning hospitality, trading, manufacturing and telecommunications, among others. We are seeking an experienced and vigilant Head of Security to lead and oversee security operations across all portfolio companies and their facilities, offices, warehouses, and distribution points. The ideal candidate will design and implement a robust, group-wide security framework that protects our people, assets, and reputation across every business unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve group-wide security policies, procedures, and protocols across all portfolio companies and their sites.

  • Lead, train, and supervise security personnel (in-house and/or contracted) across the group, ensuring consistent standards and 24/7 coverage where required.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits of factories, warehouses, offices, lodges, and distribution/logistics routes across all subsidiaries.

  • Oversee access control systems, CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, and perimeter security infrastructure group-wide.

  • Investigate incidents (theft, pilferage, vandalism, sabotage, unauthorized access) across any portfolio company and prepare detailed incident reports with corrective recommendations.

  • Serve as the group's primary liaison with the Ghana Police Service, National Security, and other relevant agencies on matters affecting the safety and security of any subsidiary.

  • Develop and lead emergency response and business continuity plans (fire, theft, civil unrest, etc.) tailored to each business unit's risk profile.

  • Manage group security budgets, vendor contracts, and procurement of security equipment.

  • Monitor and reduce loss/shrinkage through effective supply chain, warehouse, and site security controls across the group.

  • Provide regular security reports and briefings to the Group Chairman and senior management.

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory security requirements across every jurisdiction the group operates in.

Requirements & Expectations

  • Minimum of a Diploma/HND in Security Management, Criminology, Military/Police Studies, or a related field (a Bachelor's degree is an advantage).

  • At least 7–10 years of progressive security management experience, ideally overseeing multiple sites or business units.

  • Prior military, police, or reputable private security service background strongly preferred.

  • Proven experience managing multi-site security operations and diverse security teams.

  • Strong knowledge of modern security technology (CCTV, access control, alarm systems).

  • Excellent investigative, analytical, and report-writing skills.

  • High level of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment under pressure.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across diverse business units.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and emergencies, and to travel between sites as needed.

  • Clean criminal record and verifiable references required.
