Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead our occupational health and safety team. The successful candidate will have a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, relevant certifications, and experience working in a food and beverage or similar industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safety Policy Development and Implementation:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure safety policies are aligned with industry best practices and standards.
2. Risk Management:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
- Develop and implement risk management plans to minimize accidents and injuries.
3. Incident Investigation and Reporting:
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare and submit incident reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.

4. Training and Awareness:
- Provide training and awareness programs for employees on occupational health and safety.
- Ensure employees understand safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
5. Team Management:
- Manage a team of safety professionals or coordinate safety initiatives across departments.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
6. Compliance and Audits:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety processes and procedures.
- Implement changes to improve safety performance and reduce risks.
Required Skills or Experience
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 45001:2018, OSHA, ILO).
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in a beverage or food and beverage industry.
- Experience managing a team or group of people.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
