Ghana International School (GIS) is seeking creative and internationally minded professionals with demonstrated commitment to excellence and child-centred practices to join our teaching staff. Established in 1955 with 38 students, GIS now provides world class international education for 1,401 students, aged three to 18 years and representing over 40 nationalities.

  • KEY STAGE 2 TEACHERS

EDUCATION:

  • Applicants for the above teaching positions must have a Bachelor of Education in the relevant subject area from an accredited and recognised university or
  • A first degree with a Qualified Teacher Status and/or post-graduate teaching certifica­tion (PGCE/PGDE).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in the relevant subject area at the academic level.
  • Experience in teaching the Cambridge IGCSE and A-level is desirable.
  • Be competent in the use of ICT to deliver engaging lessons.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • A motivated individual with a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring students to learn and to excel.
  • An innovative and creative approach to providing an outstanding education. The ability to inspire, challenge, support and empower students and colleagues towards excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish good working relationships across the school community.
  • Excellent communication in English (written and spoken) and presentation skills.
