The Ghana Armed Forces invites applications from candidates to apply for its Air Force Officers positions.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY FOR GHANA ARMED FORCES RECRUITMENT/ENLISTMENT 2021

Eligible applicants should:

  1. Be Ghanaian citizen by birth.
  2. Be of good character.
  3. Not be less than 20 years and not more than 26 years by 6th June 2021, for Regular Commission and not more than 30 years by Thursday 02 May 2021, for Short Service Commission.
  4. Be medically fit by Ghana Armed Forces standards.
  5. Not bonded.
  6. Not married (for Regular Officer Candidates only).
  7. Be of minimum height of 68m (5'6") for males and 1.60m (5'4") for females.

Note: For Military Police only; the minimum height for male applicants should be 1.75m (5'9") and 1.70m (5' 7") for females.

Must have the following:

  • Six (6) Credit at BECE, including English and Mathematics.
  • Six (6) Credits (not less than C6), including Core English and Core Mathematics.

Or

  • Six (6) Credits (not less than D), including Core English and Core Mathematics.

Or

  • GCE 'O' & 'A' levels: Five (5) Credits (not less than 6), including English and Mathematics at GCE 'O Level and not less than D in two subjects and General Paper at GCE 'A' Level.

AIR FORCE

1. PILOTS

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower in the following:           -

  1. Private/Commercial Airline Transport Pilot Licence or any other Pilot certificate from a recognised Institution,
  2. Physics.
  3. Mathematics.
  4. Geography.
  5. Chemistry.
  6. Statistics.

 

2. AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER

  1. Aerodrome/Approach Control License from recognised Institution.
  2. Physics.
  3. Mathematics.
  4. Geography.
  5. Chemistry.
  6. Statistics.

3. Supply Branch

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognised University/Institution in any of the following:

  1. Accounting and Finance.
  2. Procurement, Purchasing and Supply.
  3. Logistics and Supply Chain Managemont.
  4. Bachelor Commerce.

 

4. Administration Branch

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognized University or equivalent professional institution in any of the following:

  1. Administration (Human Rewurce/Public Administration).
  2. Arts or Social Science.

 

5. Engineering Branch.

a. Mechanical

In addition to the general eligibility applicants must have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognized University or equivalent Professional Institution in any of the following:

  1. Aerospace Engineering.
  2. Aeronautical Engineering.
  3. Mechanical Engineering.
  4. Agricultural Engineering.

b. Avionics

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognised University or equivalent professional institution in any of the following:

  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Computer Engineering.
  • Telecommunication Engineering
