A reputable company is seeking for a Ghanaian professional and an experience talent to occupy the position as Director within the Commercial Department. 

KEY PERFORMANCE OUTPUTS

The successful applicant shall be responsible for the developing, leading and managing all commercial/ business activities of the business, developing and implementing innovative, growth focused commercial and business development strategy. Ensure that profitable business growth is accelerated and commercial/ business success is achieved

The successful applicant will also be required to perform the following functions among others:

  • Develop and implement the retail commercial/ business strategy for the Company
  • Support Management in the development of the corporate strategy and tactical plans by providing strategic insights on business development activities.

  • Monitor, advise and assist management in framing policies on commercial/ business development activities and trends within the industry 0versee the technical responsibility for land acquisition, administration and property management schedules for all the Company
  • Oversee Air Cargo Operations for Ghana
  • Manage all commercial/business aspects of Ground Handling and concession operations
  • Oversee all market research and analysis and production of business plans/ recommendations (including all associated costs and forecasted revenue for the business) to the Managing Director, GACL, to ensure that all business development opportunities (new products, services and markets) are optimised
  • Assess the risks to the Company of any new and/or existing commercial opportunities
  • Oversee regular reviews carried out with customers, to ensure that their needs are being met and that excellent customer service is achieved and developing future improvements / services for the customers
  • Maintain an awareness of external factors (including competitors, current and proposed legislation in relation to commercial activities) which impact the business.
  • Collate and analyse business data pertaining to all commercial activities
  • Ensure that all commercial activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume and efficiency targets (KPIs) in line with business objectives

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TECHNICAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Minimum of First Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Social Sciences or related disciplines
  • Master's degree in a related discipline
  • Fully qualified Professional Certification
  • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience with at least 8 years in a Senior Management Role
  • Business Planning/Development
  • Business and Market intelligence
  • Knowledge of Air Cargo Operations
  • Property Valuation and Appraisal Tenancy Management
  • Business Planning/Development Real Estate Management
  • Contract Management
