Regional Study Manager - Gold Fields Ghana

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creative study process of identifying, exploring and evaluating all value-creating opportunities to fulfil the business objectives of an investment.
  • Select appropriate tools and methodologies for the evaluation of investment opportunities uncier study in the scoping, PFS and FS phases, and aligned with Gold Fields investment evaluation requirements and standards.
  • Complete study reports and relevant documentations as specified in the Gold Fields study standards.
  • Ensure all study phases are executed in compliance with both internal and external governance, gating and investment processes, including timely submission of study updates and approval documents.



  • Provide leadership in assessing collective management and decision-making to determine and optimise competing objectives and ensure successful delivery of the development studies.
  • Lead the development of value optimised solutions that balance regional strategic objectives with production, financial, social and environmental outcomes for proposed investments.
  • Manage day-to-day study scope, schedule, cost and quality to meet defined study objectives.
  • Lead the integration of the internal and external inputs to enable the delivery of studies in accordance with the investment requirements.
  • Mentor and coach direct reports to fast-track their technical, professional and leadership capabilities.

Key Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Project management qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the mining or extractive industry_
  • In-depth understanding of project lifecycle and study delivery.
  • Recognised track record and breadth of experience in relevant cross-disciplinary brblect devet.P studtes.
  • Experience in managing teams and setting strategic direction.
  • Ability to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Ability to manage project personnel, resourcing and technical interfaces.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent drive, passion and learning agility.
  • Strong governance and ethical behaviour.

Tailings Storage Facility Supervisor - AngloGold Ashanti

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) Supervisor.


The purpose of this role is to maintain and improve the operations at the Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) to safeguard the physical and chemical stability of the TSF throughout the life of the mine and subsequent land use of the facility to ensure sustainable future of human life and the environment.




  • Actively promote AGA Safety, Health and Environmental actions for optimum performance.
  • Comply with AGA TSF framework
  • Maintain Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) key performance indicators (KPI’s) including freeboard, pool distances and pool depth and adherence to the standard operating procedure (SOP) at the TSF.
  • Inspect tailings delivery lines and provide feedback to the relevant stakeholders such as the operations team, environmental department and plant control room.
  • Supervise daily operations of TSF contractors.
  • Plan and coordinate fumigation activities at the TSF operational areas against reptiles.
  • Partake in actively-driven housekeeping and loss control.
  • Maintain discipline and performance management among the members of the TSF crew.
  • Investigate all appropriate equipment related safety and environmental status and take prompt and appropriate corrective action
  • Control and reduce operational and engineering costs
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Water and Tailings Specialist




  • A tertiary qualification in Civil, Geotechnical or Hydrogeological Engineering or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution
  • Certificate of competence from Minerals Commission will be an advantage


  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • For candidates without the stated tertiary qualification, an extensive experience of not less than 7 years in a similar role may be considered

Business & Project Supervisor - MODEC Ghana

Responsible for the execution and monitoring of the Business and Project Management Processes, as follows: Strategic Management, Cascading Goals, Performance Management, Project Management, Routine Process Management for MPSG.

Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure the implementation of Strategic Management systems with specific focus on the analysis of the internal /external strengths and weaknesses, whilst defining strategic goals.
  • Ensure the implementation of Performance Management systems, defining strategic goals and ensuring that the strategic goals are cascaded each Support Department and Operational Unit.
  • Coordinate the execution of the Strategic and Performance Management systems through the consolidation, monitoring, and communication of KPIs/results. Ensuring that results are communicated at meeting monitoring meetings (Strategic, Support Departments and Operational Units).
  • Ensure the implementation and monitoring of the Project Management system through preparations of the Corporate Project Reports and the follow up of the Projects Results, regarding Cost, Quality, Scope, Time, Communications, Risk, Human Resources, Stakeholders, Acquisition and Integration, following PMI’s best practices



  • Sustain and Improve the Routine Process Management system through mapping, optimization and periodic revision of the Management System documents, such as: policies, manuals, procedures and work instructions, as well as the definition and monitoring of process results and act on deviations.
  • Implement timely Quality Management solutions, such as: Strategic Management, Performance Management, Project Management and Routine/Process Management, dealing with and eliminating internal bottlenecks.
  • Generate relevant deviation analysis reports to assist with defining countermeasures by gathering and analyzing process databases, whilst consulting with internal clients.
  • Implement Management solutions, by understanding the necessities of internal clients and proposing the best solution for each case.
  • Manages the weekly or other frequency: Meeting with relevant discipline Engineers. Agree the priority of work
  • Meetings: To attend and to arrange meetings wherever necessary to co-ordinate sub-contractors, vendors, other engineering disciplines
  • Procedure review: To complete regular relevant discipline procedure reviews in line with corporate/local schedules. Develops and reviews Management of Change work instructions / work packs and MoC operational procedures as required.
  • KPI’s: To propose and maintain SMART KPIs within their areas of expertise and to be accountable for their own (and their trainees) KPI performance, verify and feed Monthly Report with their own KPI’s to input to Monthly Report.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance within their discipline to National & International Standards, Contract and Company/Client Procedures. Perform gap-analysis of Company and Client procedures within their discipline to recommend improvements to procedures.
