The Ghana Audit Service is currently recruiting people with the under-listed qualifications and competencies to fill the vacant positions available in its offices across the country (Ghana) as Senior Auditor under Regularity Audit.
JOB TITLE: SENIOR AUDITOR
JOB SUMMARY
- Supervise the work of subordinates;
- Take part in the review and evaluation of the system of management controls and assess their effectiveness;
- Prepare audit observations supported with adequate working papers for submission to the Unit Leader for review;
- Maintain adequate current audit file (working papers) for review by the Unit leader at the end of the audit;
- Assist in writing draft report;
- Ensure tasks are accomplished to meet deadlines; and
- Undertake any other job that may be assigned by the Unit Leader, Branch Head or District Auditor
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A professionally qualified Accountant with ICA(G), ACCA or CIMA

- A Master’s Degree from an accredited tertiary institution is an added advantage
- A minimum of three (3) years post relevant working experience in professional accounting or auditing in a reputable organisation
COMPETENCIES
- Good leadership, networking, monitoring and management experience,
- Good presentation, negotiating, lobbying and conflict resolution skills,
- Good qualitative and quantitative analytical skills,
- Good, communication, presentation and inter personal skills,
- Wide Knowledge in auditing standards,
- Good Knowledge of public financial management systems,
- Knowledge in industrial and labour relations,
- Knowledge of relevant computer applications,
- Good ethical background.
