JOB DESCRIPTION
PURPOSE
To collect field data and assist in laboratory experiments
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares progress reports on state of maintenance of experimental plots for the Executive Director and Heads of Scientific Divisions.
- Coordinates development and maintenance of experimental plots and provision of planting materials
- Organises the demarcation of plots allocated for field
- Organises the processing of mandated crops for sale.
- Supervises immediate subordinates to ensure that time, quality and other standards are adhered to
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
SKILLS
- Strong analysis and logical reasoning skills.
- Foster relationships and teamwork skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
QUALIFICATION
- Certificate in Agriculture/Agronomy/Extension from a recognised University/Agriculture College
- Knowledge in computer Database entry programmes
