Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ghanaians for the undermentioned positions in a reputable state institution as SECURITY ASSISTANTS / GUARDS
OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform administrative duties as a support to the Security Officer
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implements procedures for the effective reporting, investigation and documentation of security materials and fire cases.
- Maintains an efficient system for the safekeeping of all security documents
- Organises and directs investigations into suspected cases involving pilferage, embezzlement, fraud and other malpractices involving employees
- Organises surprise checks on movement of stocks, plantand equipment and other properties of the Institute
- Prepares and submits monthly reports on security operations.

Supervises immediate subordinates to ensure that time,quality and other set standards are adhered to.

Administers disciplinary measures to immediatesubordinates in accordance with Institute's disciplinary code and procedure.

Prepares duty roster for security guard assignments

Prepares leave roster for security guards

Compiles and collate reports submitted by guards

Handles guard documentation of security activities

Patrols to monitor performance of guards

Investigate cases as may be directed by superior and submit reports

Ensures proper documentation of items supplied to the stores.

Monitors issuance of fuel and lubricants to staff.

Keeps track of the movement of Institute's vehicles
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
SKILLS
- Strong analysis and logical reasoning skills
- Foster relationships and teamwork skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
QUALIFICATION
- GCE '0' Level/SSSCE/WASSCE certificate from a recognised Institution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Database Programmes
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
