A leading Property Development company is looking for top notch In-house Legal Counsel/Officer to employ.

The legal officer is expected to provide the following:

  1. General legal advice and guidance
  2. Represent the company in legal cases
  3. Provide supporting compliance in court proceedings/ efforts:

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor of law degree plus a professional law qualification with a minimum of 5 years working experience in a law firm or as a practicing lawyer.
  • Age Limit:
  • Between 30 to 45 years

The ideal candidate must have the following qualities and traits:

Analytical skills – Must be highly analytical in examining facts relating to cases and contract terms to be able to develop compelling legal suppositions to support them.

Persuasion – Excellent persuasion skills to successfully represent the company’s legal stance.

Sound Judgment – Must poses sound judgment and exceptional reasoning abilities to critically examine evidence on hand for decisive decisions making.

Negotiation –A strong negotiation skills, to help with negotiating and arriving at conclusive settlements in civil/land cases.

Research skills –Must have the skills to conduct extensive research on related cases as well as on previous judgments that may have a strong bearing on the outcome of pending cases.

Communication skills – Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken to be able to effectively communicate both verbally (with clients, judges, or juries) and in written documents (such as legal summaries and statements)

Honest: Must have high morale attitude and must be a team player;

Must be hardworking and ready to work long hours when necessary with little or no supervision

Must be computer literate in Word, Excel and Power Point
