A reputable financial institution is inviting applications from suitaby qualified persons for immediate employment to fill the position of IT Manager

Objective:

To advise the company on  solutions and maintain information technology strategies by researching and implementing technological strategic solutions.

DUTIES:

  • Planning, coordinating and supporting an effective local Area Network and Wide Area Network to adequately support business operations:
  • Backing up and restoring databases in alignment with management's policy the legal and regulatory data retention requirements of Ghana:
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems:
  • Running regular checks on devices, network and data security:
  • Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff:
  • Conducting regular system audits;
  • Designing training programmes and workshops for staff;

  • Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation;
  • Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems;
  • Supporting the strategic planning of the Unit under the guidance of the Assistant General Manager, Operations;
  • Planning, coordinating and implementing approaches/solutions to mitigate cyber security risks;
  • Install, configure, administer and optimise the operating systems, applications, Windows Domain arid related systems:
  • Overseeing and determining timetrames for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades. migrations and outages
  • Act in alignment for team training and skill advancements
  • Identify problematic areas and Implement strategic solutions in time,
  • Training and coordinating continuous availability of systems and services In line with the management approved disaster recovery policy and plan.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • University Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
  • Knowledge in computer software and hardware
  • Ability to create and design websites
  • Ability to develop and implement ICT systems
  • Ability to design with Dreamweaver, word press and joornia
  • Ability to design logos, brochures, booklets and other artwork using Photoshop. Cores draw and illustrator.

  • Ability to copy with work time and pressure
  • Warmth - being friendly and approachable
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think on one's feet and react appropriately
  • Ability to adapt well to changes in
    assignments and priorities
  • Ability to adapt behaviour or work method in response to new information
  • Ability to adjust to behaviours accordingly

EXPERIENCE

  • Five (5) years post-qualification relevant experience in Information Technology.
