A reputable Fund Management Organization in the public sector invites interested persons to apply for the position of Senior Assistant Administrator - IT

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To initiate the formulation and reviews of IT policies and procedures for the organisation;
  • To provide input into the annual budget and strategic planning process of the organisation;
  • To provide monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the Division;
  • To design and implement electronic dissemination of information to stakeholders;
  • To maintain an effective IT system by identifying system requirements, installing, upgrading, monitoring and evaluating FT system performance;
  • To introduce and integrate new technologies into existing data centre environments;
  • To perform routine and periodic backups of data management systems;
  • To plan, implement and evaluate security policies and systems of the IT of the organisation by adding, removing or upgrading user account information, resetting passwords, security codes, etc;
  • To install and configure new hardware and  software systems as and when necessary;

  • To be responsible for documentation of the configuration and perform routine audits of the IT systems software and interact infrastructure;
  • To undertake troubleshooting to any reported problems as and when necessary;
  • To establish system specifications by conferring with users, analysing workflow, access information, security  requirements and designing system infrastructure;
  • To establish system by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration and testing of PC and server hardware, software, LAN, and WAN networks, and management of operating systems;
  • To manage internal and external portals and websites;
  • To maintain system performance through system monitoring, analysis and performance tuning;
  • To establish disaster recovery policies and procedures, completing backups and maintaining documents;
  • To perform any other duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.

Skills and Competencies

  • A first degree in Information Technology/ Systems, BSc. Computer Science from a recognised tertiary institution, or related Engineering fields;
  • A master's degree from a recognised university in Business Administration (MIS option), or Computer Engineering related fields.
  • Must be a member of an IT professional body g., Information System Audit and Control Association (ISACA) or related industry certificate.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years post-qualification relevant work experience, five (5) years of which must be in a senior management position in a reputable organisation or institution;
  • Must pass a competitive selection interview conducted by the Public Services Commission in collaboration with the Board of Trustees;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent knowledge in system support;
