Full Job Description - Read Carefully


Marie Stopes International Ghana (MSIG) has vacancy for a passion driven, customer focused, strong planning and coordination skills and results-oriented professional to occupy the Teen Connector (Volunteer Intern) position in the organisation. MSIG’s goal is to meet the needs of the underserved and improve access to the use of Family Planning (FP) and other Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) services. MSIG is part of Marie Stopes International’s global partnership, which operates in over 37 countries worldwide.

Job Description

Length of contract: Six (6) Months contract (volunteer position).
 
Teen Connector (Volunteer Intern) - Female Preferred

The Teen Connector will serve as a liaison between MSG and our adolescent callers by providing information and counselling on MSIG’s range of services and possible referral of callers to MSIG, Bluestar and other service delivery points.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • The Adolescent representative (Teen Connector) will further MSIG’s mission of ensuring the individual’s right to Children by Choice Not Chance
  • Able to reach and improve the number of Adolescent callers in the contact centre
  • Experience of delivering customer service in excellence
  • Excellent spoken and written English language (primary) and other languages
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel are required)
  • Experience in a volunteering environment
  • Customer focused with good interpersonal skills to engage with the adolescent
  • Articulate and analytical with excellent attention to detail
  • Must be pro-choice and passionate about maternal health
  • Any other related duties which will come up

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications:

  • WAEC certificate and any other related courses
