A reputable bank in the Ashanti Region invites applications from suitably qualified Ghanaians who are goal-oriented, resultsdriven with good leadership qualities and enthusiasm for the position of GENERAL MANAGER
The General Manager as the Head of the bank should provide general leadership and Strategic direction, with the objective of ensuring the bank becomes a leader in the Rural Banking community.
Duties
- In conjuncton with the Board of Directors formulate strategies and action plan for the successful and profitable running of the bank.
- Design and implement risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory
- Oversee the day-to-day administration and management of the bank.
- Draw up strategies and plans to ensure compliance with the regulatory laws, regulations and directives of Bank of Ghana, ARB Apex Bank Limited and other regulatory bodies
- Prepare periodic and prescribed reports for the attention of the Board
- Ensure that the barks Books of Accounts are properly maintained
- Put in place internal controls to minimise fraud and acts of malfeasance
- Protect and ensure security of the assets of the bank
- Ensure the effective and continuous communication of the Company vision to all levels Of staff and atainment of defined objectives stemming from the company's vision
- Supervise all operational activities of the various divisions or departments of the bank ensure attainment Of set goals and targets as periodically captured in the banks Strategic plans
- Any other function assigned by the Board Of Directors
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED & EXPERIENCE
- A good Second Degree plus professional certificate i.e. ACIB, CA, ACCA, CIMA.
- Strong banking background with at least ten (10) years experience in banking
- Experience in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
