IDS International is seeking a Senior PSO SME - Female Engagement Team (FET) to support the African Contingency Operations Training and Assistance (ACOTA) contract in Ghana. The PSO Senior Subject Matter Expert – FET will be the Team Lead’s principal mentor for GAF-led FET training The PSO Senior Subject Matter Expert – FET will mentor, advise and assist GAF trainers conducting FET raining to battalions deploying to MONUSCO and UNMISS IAW with learning objectives and outcomes. This position is located in Ghana and is contingent upon award.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of ten (10) years U.S. or foreign military experience as a civil-military cooperation (CIMIC) practitioner and at least one deployment as part of a FET or on a provincial reconstruction team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of a U.S. or foreign equivalent recognized FET course for land forces.
- Experience working in sub-Saharan Africa.
Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
