The Presbyterian Centre for Vocational Instructors Development (PRECEVID) is an evolving centre of excellent for the development of the human resource base for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector in Ghana. PRECEVID recognised for the delivery of cornpetency-Based Training (CBT) approaches is currently collaborating with industry to run professional demand-driven TVET programmes.
PRECEVID is located in Kumasi has built good relationships with other professional institutes of higher learning. PRECEVID seeks a dynamic; self-motivated and competent individual for the position of a Training Coordinator
A key member of the team to provide educational and administrative support in order to meet the centre's objectives of excelence with regards to teaching, programme development, faculty and administration.
Job Description
- Co-ordinate day to day activities of the training department
- Supervise training activities including trainee admissions, assessments and records
- Oversee and coordinate trainee orientation and graduation ceremonies
- Provide support service, career, guidance and counselling to trainees
- Facilitate movement of trainees through their programmes
- Liase with industry and facilitate Workplace Expedience (WEL) of trainees
- Maintain knowledge of current trends and development in Competence Based Training (CBT)
- Co-ordinate the activities Of facilitators, trainers and lecturers
- Schedule and organise fuulty and administrative meetings
- Coordinate and manage established conaboratim with technical universities and other institutions Of higher learning
- Responsible for the custody of all training documents records of the centre.
- Prepare on the performance of the training department
- Monitor adherence to educational and cooperate policies, procedures and ensure compliance with accreditation and the law
- Develop and market the trainng programmes to maximise enrolment for the Centre
- Lead the establishment of the resource unit of PRECEVID.
- Supervise proper maintenance and safety of the physical environment and property
Requirements
- Must posess at least a Bachelor's degree in Educational Administration. Business and Social Sciences or in any other related fields.
- Must have a background in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)
- Must be conversant with Competency-Based Training Methodologies
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Excellent organisational and coordination skils
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
