The role of the Hose Technician & Supervisor (Ghana) is to provide a hose manufacturing and Test service to clients as well as provision of supervision and mentoring in hose manufacturing and testing to local staff. The manufacturing and testing will be facilitated in a purpose built facility in Ghana. There will also be a requirement for ad-hoc offshore/offsite FHA surveys. The role will operate on a 4 week rotation with accommodation being provided.
- To manufacture and test a variety of different FHA’s
- To develop QMS/HSE procedures/Risk Assessments where required
- To visually inspect customer’s Flexible Hose Assemblies (FHA) and fittings, onsite, in line with the Company’s inspection procedures.
- To inspect and record condition, type and fittings, in line with procedures. To assess the suitability of the FHA for the application it is being used and to recommend changes as appropriate.
- To submit a report with details of unsatisfactory FHA to the customer’s representative and recommend possible solutions, where applicable.
- To recommend possible solutions to problems identified with the customer FHA, applications or operating procedures
- Experience of Hose Inspection (OPITO)Experience of flexible hose assemblies, threads and fittings (OPITO)
- Experience of Manufacturing/Testing hoses (OPITO)
- Experience of leading/mentoring a team
- Experience of working Offshore/Working within a service industry with a keen focus on, and compliance with, QHSE policies
