Job Title: Tools Sales and Support Representative (2 Positions)
Purpose of Job
- Sales and Technical support for Sandvik Rock Tools offering to the Mining and Construction customer base
Responsibilities
- Optimise sales and profitability of Sandvik Rock Tools
- Training and coaching of relevant internal & customer personnel in rock tools
- Work closely with service and training personnel to optimise knowledge across departments including logistics to ensure effective forecasting of Rock Tools
- Customer site visit on regular basis with written reports
- To facilitate customer selection and ordering of rock tools

- To facilitate customer warranty claims and process
- Work as part of a Multi-disciplinary account and product team to ensure high level must win projects are delivered in time and within budget
- To conduct trials and testing of new products at customers sites
- Liaise with the factories to stay ahead of product development, as well as knowledge transfer back to the optimise sales opportunities
- Effective coaching and training of dealer personnel responsible for growing the sandvik offering in West Africa
- Preparedness to utilize working tools: CRM and system 21 software as to deliver results and capture data
- Develop customer relationships to ensure customers have a positive experience and remain loyal to the Sandvik brand
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with company values and current company policies and procedures
- Takes responsibility for personal development and enhancement of skills
- Takes responsibility for own safety as well as looking out for team members in line with statutory safety requirements, standards and company policy
Qualification Required & Experience
- Degree in Mining or Mechanical Engineering or trade background with equivalent technical knowledge, service, account management and associated product sales experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Rock Tools/Surface/Underground Mining and operational exposure (Underground exposure will be an advantage)
- French language skills will be an advantage
- Must possess good written and oral communication skills
- Computer literate and ability to write detailed reports
- Drivers license C (driving experience in heavy duty mining environments will be an advantage)
Special Requirements
- This position is available at Pakyi No.1 (Near Kumasi) with a high level of Mobility required
- Successful applicants would be required to work at SMC sites in Ghana and other West Africa countries
