Role purpose
- The Business Intelligence (B.I.) Team works with users in departments across the organization to advice on how to work with data in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server. This role is instrumental in driving the successful adoption of Tableau across the organization. As a Tableau Reporting Specialist you will sit at the intersection of technology and business, using your knowledge of Tableau Desktop and Server to train users, to develop innovative solutions to respond to a wide variety of use cases, and to contribute to strategic planning for building business intelligence capabilities.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions using Tableau
- Use Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server to explore data and develop reports
- Developing & analyzing business requirements for reports requiring data visualization
- Building a center of excellence for Business Intelligence
- Working with data scientists, database architects, business users and business managers to identify and develop Tableau use cases
- Managing partnerships with technical implementation teams
- Engaging the 80+ community of Tableau users
- Lead in the testing and verification of the BI reporting.
- Provide ITIL-based Incident and Problem management support (3rd Line Support).
Core Competencies
- Strong Technological background, with qualification in IT, Computer Science or equivalent
- Knowledge in BI Reporting tools (Tableau, SSRS, OBIEE)
- Experience in delivering solutions based on agreed user requirements
- Prior work experience using Tableau
- Expertise in writing, optimizing SQL queries using Enterprise databases like PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle etc.
- Experience determining and prioritizing your own work tasks, including identifying and proposing new work
- Strong aptitude for statistics, analytics, or learning software applications
- Experience working for a Mobile Network Operator within Mobile Industry is preferred
- Professional qualifications in a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience; Oracle, Microsoft BI, OBIEE, etc.
