The successful applicant must: 

  • Be accountable for the entire credit granting process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the credit worthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimising the mix of company sales and bad debt losses. 
  • Be responsible for continual process improvements and cost effective delivery of services. 
  • Oversee the collection activity, will build and maintain cross functional relationships throughout the institution and ensure compliance with the company's policies procedures and controls. 
  • Be responsible for supervising, training, and mentoring a team of Credit and Field Sales Executives. 
  • Build and maintains customer relationships 
  • Establish goals and objectives for Credit and Collection functions 

 

The successful applicant must: 

  • Have experience in the Rural Banking Industry. Knowledge in T24 banking software is a must 
  • Versatile in the preparation of monthly management reports, prudential reports and all other reports to regulators and supervisory bodies and delivered on time 
  • Oversee the overall corporate budgeting preparation, management and monitoring processes.

  • Perform financial analysis, reporting and management activities. 
  • Review financial data for accuracy, correctness and completeness. 
  • Monitor and manage all expenses within the allotted budget. 
  • Establish key financial strategies to enhance business profitability.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Mobilize funds from the field, accepting deposits and loan repayments on behalf of the Institution and selling our products.
  • Responsible for intensive deposit mobilization from the field in assigned areas.
  • Responsible for collecting loan repayments from customers.
  • Manage the opening of savings account and other deposit products on the field.
  • Surrender daily all deposits and loan repayments collected from the field.
  • Report all problems and developments encountered on the field to supervisor.
  • Required to do daily call over of operations as assigned by branch management.
  • Market the Institution’s products and services.
  • Display a high level of courtesy and discipline in dealing with clients.
  • Perform all other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interview/screen prospective clients and guide them through the application process ensuring that all required documentation is provided by the client. 
  • Perform pre-qualification assessment including visits to the client’s place of business.
  • Prepare appraisal reports for client’s loan requests.
  • Communicate loan approval or denial to the client and facilitate the disbursement process.
  • Maintain credit/loan files to ensure that files are complete (application letter, appraisal form and report, loan approval letter, documentation of security, repayment schedule and monitoring and recovery reports.)
  • Undertake field visits, prepare reports and generate new business.
  • Provide technical advice and manage useful and practical information for the benefit of customers.
  • Ensure a healthy and quality loan portfolio.
  • Responsible for the growth of the loan portfolio.
