Our Technical Specialists are the face of GroundProbe for our customers. Known for delivering quality training and technical expertise, maintenance and repairs, and support across a wide range of ground-breaking products and services, GroundProbe’s products are built to operate in global mining environments, therefore our Techs must be willing to travel around Ghana, and internationally in support of our products.

The key to your success in this role will be demonstrating your initiative to learn, develop, and succeed; applicants must also have experience preparing and presenting reports, delivering training to individuals and small groups, and holding a working knowledge of the mining climate in Ghana will make you a highly regarded applicant.

Applicants with underground and open cut mining environment experience are desirable, as well as relevant technical experience in a customer service based organisation or similar.

Main activities of the role include

  • Geotechnical and survey instrumentation experience will be highly regarded
  • Work safely and with regard to the safety of others, complying with WHS policies and procedures, and actively improving safety in the workplace
  • Install and integrate GroundProbe’s products as required for customers throughout the designated region
  • Commission and decommission GroundProbe products
  • Organise and perform product demonstrations to potential customers
  • Train technical team on Deployment, Operation and Maintenance of products
  • Monitor and present GroundProbe’s products data
  • Provide on-site customer training and technical support
  • Perform technical support work on GroundProbe technologies at remote sites
  • Assist with marketing and development of a positive image of GroundProbe, its technologies and employees

If you have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in:

  • Electronics Qualification N5/N6/Degree
  • ICT and Network related knowledge/ Courses/ Qualifications
  • Mechanical/Electrical Experience and advantage

 

Further qualifications and experience includes:

  • Honesty and integrity, and a keen interest in technology and innovation
  • Experience in geotechnical and survey instrumentation will be highly regarded
  • Unencumbered Manual Drivers Licence
  • Current Passport with the ability to obtain visa’s for international travel
  • Experience with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to obtain police clearance certificate and relevant medical clearance for work at a mine site
