--> AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited is currently on a journey to redevelop the Obuasi Gold Mine into a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation. The underground mining operation will be fully mechanized, designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t/day of ore mined.
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as First Aider / Emergency Nurse.
ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
The purpose of this role is to manage and responsible for ensuring the compliance of maintain good care for all patient transport to hospital for further treatment.
This will be achieved through review of aspect registers, procedures, audits, treat, transport and training of personnel on First Aid.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assist in conducting planned inspection & audits using checklist periodically, aimed at evaluating compliance with standards and checking the state of emergency equipment in the Ambulance.
- Responsible for managing all Emergency Response personnel (Ambulance crew and driver)
- Provide refresher First Aid Training for employees including contractors.
- Responsible for ensuring that adequate response capability is maintained on site.
- Accountable for maintaining all equipment and vehicles (Ambulance) in a state of readiness to ensure the security, safety and maintenance of allocated equipment, goods and support.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Qualification
- Diploma in General Nursing certificate
- First Aid Certificate from St. John Ambulance or Ghana Red Cross.
Experience
- At least 3 – 5 years in Emergency Medical Services / Hospital
- Ability to give initial stabilization of trauma cases.
- Basic emergency management skills.
