AngloGold Ashanti (Iduapriem) Limited (AAIL) is looking for a highly qualified and motivated person for the role of SENIOR OFFICER - TECHNICAL SECURITY in our Security Department.
Role Summary
The purpose for this role is to provide technical support to the surveillance team, develop and implement security policies, procedures and protocols specific to technical and electronic security. Control budgets for technical unit, monitor expenses, train and supervise security officers and guards.
Role Accountabilities
- Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, contractor and visitors to AAIL premises
- Provide support to the technical security team in line with Global Security standard and practices

- Identify, diagnose and provide solution to technical security issues to prevent down time.
- Safeguard employees, protect property and ensure the security of data all the time.
- As a CCTV supervisor, you will operate and monitor the store of screens. reporting incidents as evidence, and potentially contacting the emergency response team as and when required.
- Supervise technical security operators to deliver in accordance with best practice and report all incidents that occur in your line of duty promptly
- Carry out weekly surveillance review of the CCTV system and submit report of findings to senior manager security
- Generate ideas for improving technical efficiency and effectiveness
- Consider project proposals and evaluate feasibility
- Adhere to all company service and operating standards
- Remain in compliance with local, state and federal regglations
- Immediately respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and visitors
- Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues
- Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control and accident investigations.
Person Specifications
- Professional qualification with previous experience may be acceptable
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Certificate in Xtime and knowledge in Axis
- Capable of following complex instructions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Ability to work under pressure with quality of work as a priority
- Excellent time management skills
- Attentive to details and proactive
- Ability to work under one's own initiative and as a member of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with people from diverse cultures and background
- Medically fit for the position as well as the environment
- Possess valid Ghanaian Driving Licence and proficiency in driving Light Vehicle
