- Department: Information Technology
- Location: Head Office
Job Purpose: The job holder is responsible for the effective and efficient running of the IT Department and ensures departmental alignment with the organization’s strategy. He/she will advise management on all issues pertaining to information technology in the company. Key Responsibilities : - Evaluate user needs and systems functionality.
- Ensure that the company’s facilities meet the needs or requirements of users and regulators (BOG).
- Plan, develop and implement the IT budget, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers, where appropriate, to ensure cost effectiveness.
- Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software system.
- Research and install new systems.
- Ensure the smooth running of all IT systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision.
- Ensure that software licensing laws are adhered to.
- Provide secure access to the network for (remote) users.
- Ensure the security of the bank’s data from internal and external attack.
- Provide users with appropriate support, training and advice.
- Manage crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems.
- Approve and recommend technology equipment and software to support the company’s system administration.
- Monitor and train new and existing IT support staff.
- Improve customer service and increase information delivery by acting as a liaison between the company’s system administration and the other branches/department of the bank on technology-related issues.

- Help the company to keep up to date with the latest technologies on the market.
- Identify current and future needs for staff skills, hardware, systems and make recommendations for improvements.
Required Skills or Experience
- Minimum of a First University Degree in relevant area.
- 5 – 8 years experience in IT related position.
- Sound knowledge & Skills in T24
- Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Experience with computer system troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy and laws
- Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
- Adequate management and office administration concepts.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to plan daily/periodic operations.
