JOB PROFILE – SALES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

 We are an organization with commercial presence in various African countries. We are interested in recruiting Sales Account Managers for our Communications & Technology department.

 Objectives

 The essential aim of the role is to ensure the monthly, quarterly and annual revenue, profit & cash flow targets as laid down in the Annual Business plan are consistently achieved.

 Essential Functions

  •  Selling of Communications systems and products.
  • Manage customer accounts including all related aspects.
  • Undertake projects and tasks as advised by the Head of Sales.
  • Be responsible for the overall satisfaction of the customer.
  • Schedule and conduct customer meetings.
  • Issue customer proposals and conduct weekly follow-up.
  • Issue periodic marketing write ups and mail shots.
  • Participate in site surveys.
  • Submit weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports to the Head of Sales.
  • Submit an annual business plan.
  • Conduct market and products research and develop highly effective relationships to help achieve the goals and objectives of the Communications division.
  • Generate sales leads.
  • Create new customer accounts.
  • Manage existing customer accounts.
  • Maintain high level of product/system knowledge.

  • Meet sales targets.
  • Present and demonstrate systems / products.
  • Conduct road shows and other marketing events.
  • Support all customer requirements for his/her accounts.
  • Prepare tender responses.
  • Building POs BOM and allocate the relevant stock item.
  • Maintain updated customers list.
  • Ensure that any and all pre-approved credit customers fully comply with the company’s credit control policy. Ensure that trade debtor accounts remain current and do not fall overdue.

Required Academic Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Sales and Marketing or any other relevant commercial course. An additional degree in Engineering will be an added advantage.

 Required Professional Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years progressive and verifiable sales experience performing similar tasks as mentioned above
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience selling wireless equipment to ISPs, Telecos, (experience expanding to the region will be an added advantage)
  • Must have experience in selling systems
  • Have a proven track record handling major accounts (evaluation will be done on 3 key accounts closed and their value)
  • Must have good presentation skills.
  • Must have good negotiation skills.
  • The preferred candidate should have a background in selling broadband wireless equipment or networks sales experience.

Candidates should have advanced proficiency in:

  • MS Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • MS Word

Locations: Accra, Kumasi & Takoradi
