Your Role:

The role of the procurement manager is an exciting and dynamic portfolio which continuously develops and adapts the procurement strategy in line with the business strategy needs driving gross margin improvement, innovation, sustainable and responsible sourcing, capacity management, quality and service. This role is intended to evolve over time and the scope of the role is subject to change. As the procurement manager, you will lead and drive the most effective end to end value chain of the equipment and ingredient portfolio for the West Africa market. You will lead the West Africa Procurement organization in delivering BCS strategy and Cluster targets by aligning Procurement resources, leveraging the supplier network for materials and services within the geographical area and by connecting with other functions

(Marketing, R&D and SC)

Key Accountabilities

•   Lead West Africa Procurement E2E Operations in developing and implementing cluster strategy

•   Act as first point of contact in West Africa for issues/questions relating to procurement of raw and pack materials and business services

•   Handle diverse customer, supplier or operational issues when they arise

•   Support the management and maintenance of supplier relationships in West Africa Cluster

•   Support security of key materials through the development of contingency plans and alternative materials and suppliers

•   Ensure timely inputs to global/regional project development and OTIF execution of global/regional projects in West Africa

•   Prepare information and analysis of the portfolio, including price benchmarking and total cost analysis, to enable proper budgeting, cash forecasting and forecast variance analysis as needed

•   Support delivery of cost savings and innovation agenda in the West Africa Cluster

•   Support the financial analysis of the portfolio, including price benchmarking and total cost analysis

Skills, experience and qualifications: -

•   Minimum 6 years’ experience involving either procurement/buying or supply chain or project management in an FMCG

•   Interest in sustainability and/or sustainable development / sustainable systems design

•   Great personal organization skills, attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines in the multicultural environment

•   Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly (both written and in presentations)

Reporting Channel, Contacts and Travel:

•  Procurement E2E Operations Manager is part of the AMET Clusters Procurement organization.

•   Internal: Procurement Global and Cluster teams, Supply Chain teams, R&D team, Legal team, Marketing team, Finance business partners

•   External: Suppliers: Commercial management and Top management (CEO’s) of Key Suppliers, Agents, professional organization, industry bodies and 3PM, NGO’s, advisors and benchmarking organizations and others

•   Travel globally for Supplier meetings, Industry meetings, project meetings and team meetings. Travel intensity as per job requirements
