A leading financial services group Accra with operations in investment banking. securities trading and investment managementseeks to employ qualified professionals to fill the following position as Manager, Corporate Finance, Brokerage & Research
Directly Reports to: Managing Director
Duties
- Manage, oversee and coordinate Corporate Finance, Brokerage and Research staff and promote cooperation and a wholesale orientation in activities.
- Organize workflows, set priorities. monitor activities, and ensure completion of assigned work.
- Work with senior management and corporate and institutional clients to identify, secure and execute financing and strategic advisory mandates in the public and private capital markets.
- Manage and coordinate activities related to the firms securities brokerage and trading business.
- Develop and manage programmes and procedures to expand che firm's domestic and offshore client base in brokerage and investment research.
- Help improve client services, and increase che firm's share of trade and brokerage volumes in both equities and fixed income.
- Supervise investment research proiects and ensure daat the firn# research reports suite are completed and published on schedule and become valuable sources of investment insight for the firm's domestic and offshore clients.
- Ensure adherence to compliance With the rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) and any other relevant regulatory bodiesand government agencies.
- Perform related duties and projects as assigned by Supervisor and government agencies.
- Perform related duties and projects as assigned by Supervisor.
Specific Skills Requirement
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate and manage executive-level client and business relationships.
• Excellent orat and written communication skills.
• Advanced accounting, finance, valuation and analytical abitities,
• Financial modelling training and/ or experience.
• Strong work ethic, organisational skills and abiiity to multi-task
• Demonstrated team player and leader
Educational/ Certification Requirements and Work Experience
- A minimum of 7 years of investment banking and capital markets experience,
- A minimum of an MBA degree or equivaient postgraduate degree in Finance.Accounting, Economics or related field.
- Should have successfully completed the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) Securities Courses and passed the examinations at all levels
- Not a prerequisite but certification in CFA, ACCA, ICA or CIMA would be an advantage.
