PRODUCTION WORKSHOP MANAGER

JOB LOCATION: Takoradi

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in industria' engineering preferred or other technical degree/ diploma
  • 10 years of Oil & Gas industry experience in workshop and / or offshore environment
  • previous Supervisory / management experience
  • Previous budgotarv experience
  • Sound undomtanding of HSE policies and principleg
  • Knowledge of production/assembly workshop methodologies.
    Knowledge of Manufacturing/ Ouality/ Engineering inter- relationship and processes to include Low Control Modulo (SCM) repair process
  • Sound Knowledge of subsea equipment and tools
  • SAP experience is preferred
  • Good communication skills — Fluent in verbal and written English. strong Leadership qualities, PC Literacy and a positive customer focused attitude to work

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: 

 

TFMC Operating Procedures gnd Quality Manual, START Safety Programme. TFMC Leadership Training, TFMC Engineering Specification. Cultural Cross Training Western/ Host Country, Knowledge of API Standards, Knowledge of ISO 9002. SAP, Lean/5S. CBTs

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITY

The person for this position will be responsible for the management of all workshop activities, process deve'opment, personnel and shop equipment within the workshop to ensure maximum utilisation of personnel and third party labourers by keeping high safety and service standards, Establish and manage workshop budgets Key role to support and assist in planning ot current and future shapi facility requirements as workshop work scope wili be increased in capacity and complexity

Workshop Responsibility includes:

  • Ensuring the safety and safe work practices of all workshop personnel.
  • Ensure operations are in compliance with all Global TFMC requirement
  • Assembly and Test of Wellhead hardware (Trees/Tubing hangar/ jumper)/ Controls) (SCM's/ SFL's/ EDU/ SDLJ/ Equipment preparation for use/ demobilisation after use
  • Maintenance and asset management programmes for FMC property
  • Management of equipment (or component) Disassembly/ Assembly/ Repair (Level l. n, Ill) Test per original Factory Procedures as may be required
  • Assistance to QAI Purchasing identifying Third party Service requirements' vendor qualifications as necessary repair/ maintenance,
  • This position will be required to make recommendations and implement process improvement initiatives, as well as be able to provide inputs and solve Issues that require a broad knowledge in subsea equipment MMRS. Position must be able to prepare and present reports to upper management, as Well as external clients if required 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AREAS:

  • You will organise and plan operations in the workshop
  • You will manage all shop floor activities to ensure maximum utilisation of personnel through resource.
  • You will be responsible for planning and monitoring all activities to ensure delivery and product quality requirements are met.
  • You will ensure Workshop and activities are in compliance with TFMC'S global safety standards
  • You will develop and execute budget for area of responsibility
  • You will ensure good working practices and housekeeping in all activities 
  • You will organise, supervise and provide guidance during 'eceipt inspection equipment in the premises of T FMC
  • You will provide status reports to the Director Operations Africa, Country Management, and Project Managers as required
  • You will coordinate project needs and priorities with the Project Managers
  • You will get involve in the execution of internal work orders, including such related actions as preparation, budgeting, interaction with subcontractors,
    logistics and planning
  • You will determine and manage customer expectations to deliver profitable solutions and develop lasting relationships.
  • You will implement and maintain process ownership of the respective functional documentation, including supporting manuals, procedures, routines and relevant documentation related to daily activity.
  • You will ensure workshop capabilities to perform assembly of multiples equipment types for multiple customers. Equipment types to be defined by Projects, Country Management, and Director Operations Africa but would include Trees, SCM's, Jumper connectors, IWOCs systems, drilling tool, etc.
