Job Vacancy For Sales & Marketing Manager - (Heavy-duty equipment / Lubricants)

A sole representative of leading manufacturers of heavy-duty equipment and trucks in Ghana is looking highly qualified and motivatedpersons for the position of a Sales & Marketing Manager

JOB PURPOSE

To develop and lead strategy and drive sales for profitability

REPORTS TO: GM, sales & Marketing

Responsibilities

• Drive the entire sales and marketing department
• Generate sales leads and assign follow-up duties to other sales offcers
• Lead a team of sales and marketing executives to ensure a continuous flow of sales orders from various clients.
• Listen to customer requirements and present appropriately to make a sale.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails.
• Arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.
• Act as a contact between the company and its existing and potential markets.
• Negotiate the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
• Gather market and customer information.
• Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
• Advise on forthcoming product developments and discuss special promotions.
• Liaise with the production unit to check the progress of existing orders.
• Record sales, order information and send copies to the sales office or entering into a computer system.
• Send daily, weekly and monthly reports to management
• Review sales performance. aiming to meet or exceed targets.
• Gan a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements.
• Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and provide customers with quotations.
• Feed buying trends back to the employer
• Attend team/group meetings and share best practices with colleagues.

Knowledge and Skills Required

• In-depth knowiedge in the heavy equtpment and industrial equipment market
  
• Considerable knowledgetunderstanding of segmentation, value propositions and customer profiles
  
• Excellent knowledge of marketing and branding activities.
  
• Good managerial, coaching and t)terpersonal skiis in a "team" setting.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• A good first degree in marketing plus professional membership ie CIMG
• MBA in Sales & Marketing / Project Management would be an added advantage
• Eight years of post qualification and industial experience with three years in a senior sales/marketng (in the sale of Heavy-Duty Equipment/automobile) role with groven results.
