Aker Energy Job Vacancy For Drilling Engineer

Elidel Prestige Ltd (EPL), an oil and gas recruitment and manpower management company, is recruiting the following positions on behalf of its client, Aker Energy. Aker Energy AS was founded in February 2018 and is established as the newest member of the Aker Group. The E&P company aims to become the offshore oil and gas operator of choice in Ghana. It is characterised by the entrepreneurial and flexible organisation that is synonymous with member companies of the Aker Group. Aker Energy is now operational with offices in Accra and Oslo, Norway.

We are now looking for a Drilling Engineer and a Completion Engineer to strengthen our organisation to support development of our oil discovery offshore Ghana.

Drilling Engineer

Key responsibilities and tasks

• Well planning work through the early phases and/or during development drilling phases, prior to handover to the operations team in Ghana.
• Support exploration drilling team in delivery of well "Requirements"
• Deliver option selection recommendation and well "Basis of Design"
• Prepare casing design to provide required well barriers, fluid, cement programmes and hydraulic & torque modelling as required
• Ensure delivery of required emergency response plans & services
• Prepare cost & time estimates

Qualifications / Personal Attributes:

• Bachelor's degree or master's degree from a recognised university in Relevant Engineering discipline
• Over 3 years well engineering & operational experience
• Preferred experience includes deep-water / West Africa drilling experience, as well as experience working in remote locations and new country start-ups.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills
