Ghana Stock Exchange is inviting applications from suitably qualified young applicants for the position of Information Technology (IT) Officer.
Job Purpose
• Responsible for monitoring, maintaining and providing helpdesk support for the GSE's information communication and technology (ICT) infrastructure including computer systems (Servers, PCs, laptops and tablets devices and networks. You will be responsible for diagnosing any hardware or software faults with these systems to ensure a seamless and consistent delivery of ICT services across all of the business functions of the company
Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, support, troubleshoot and assist to resolve all operating system (OS) issues on all computer systems
• Install, monitor and update antivirus solutions and OS security updates and patches for all computer systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve all network related challenges
• Provide timely support for all IT related devices including backup power solutions (UPS, AVR, Gen Set).
• Coordinate with vendors and clients to resolve all It related issues timeously
• To implement, maintain and monitor appropriate backup strategies and operations for various applications servers and databases
• Assist in the development and maintenance of sound IT policies, disaster recovery plans and business continuity policies
• Undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisors
Qualification required & experience
The applicant must have the following minimum education and experience
• A degree in computer science or information technology
• A professional certification such as MCSE and CompTIA will be desirable
• At least 2 years work experience

Skills and Attributes
The following skills and attributes are also required of the applicant:
• Ability to install, configure and maintain operating systems (OSes) such as Microsoft Windows, Linux, Andriod, iOs among others
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP protocols, network load balancing and sub netting
• Good understanding of concepts such as DNS, DHCP, RAID configuration, Active Directory, Group Policies
• Interpersonal skills to work with colleagues and/or customers
