The University of Education, Winneba announces for the information of the Academic community and the General Public vacancy for Internal Auditor.
The Position
• The Internal Auditor is the head of the Internal Audit of the University and shall be responsible, under the vice-Chancellor, for the provision of effective leadership and promotion good governance in accordance with the regulations of the University
Qualification required & experience
The Person
The applicant must be:
• a distinguished professional with the capacity to motivate and direct staff
• above reproach and must exhibit a high sense of industry, leadership qualities and organisational skills, possess excellent interpersonal communication skills
• a member of a recognised professional (Accountancy/Auditing) body (ICA/ACCA/CIMA/CA/CPA, etc), possession of a master's degree preferably MBA/MSc, in Accounting/Finance would be an advantage
• Besides, the applicant must have:
• Considerable experience in corporate governance
• Served in a university or an analogous institution, or in a reputable and recognised practicing firm, industry, commerce and/or public sector in a management position
• a minimum of 13 years post-qualification experience
• A minimum of 10 years post-professional qualification experience
Terms of Appointment
The appointment is full-time. The successful applicant should be able to serve a 4 year term of office before attaining the compulsory retiring age 60 years
