AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited is currently on a journey to redevelop the Obuasi Gold Mine into a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation. The underground mining operation will be fully mechanized, designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t/day of ore mined.
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as ENGINEERING OPERATIVE ROLES.
ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
The following Technicians will support the Engineering Supervisors in the execution of the various technical functions through strict adherence to Engineering Maintenance standards and the Company policies and procedures.

• Mechanical Technician – Winders
• Mechanical Technician – Material Handling
• Mechanical Technician – Dewatering

• Driver – Light Vehicle
• Winder Engine Driver
• Operator – Dewatering
• Boiler Maker
• Motor Rewinding Technician
• Mechanical Technician – Surface Mine Infrastructure
• Operator – Vent Fans & Fridge Plant
• Electrical Technician – Surface Mine Infrastructure (LV)
• Electrical Technician – Surface Mine Infrastructure (HV)
• CIC Technician – Surface Mine Infrastructure
• Mechanical Technician – TSF/WTP
• Condition Monitoring Technician
• NDT Technician
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Qualification
- Relevant non-tertiary certificate/ diploma from an accredited institution (e.g. MET I & II / EET I & II / MVT I & II, City & Guilds)
- At least SSCE holder
- Successful completion of respective trade apprenticeship
- Relevant professional certificate of competency (e.g. Min. Com certification)
Experience
- Five (5) years’ working experience
- Valid Ghanaian driver’s license
- Familiar with the Ghana Minerals and Mining (Health, Safety and Technical) Regulations
