AngloGold Ashanti Job Vacancy For Housing Officer

AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited is currently on a journey to redevelop the Obuasi Gold Mine into a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation. The underground mining operation will be fully mechanized, designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t/day of ore mined.

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as HOUSING OFFICER.

ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT

The Housing Officer is accountable for administering housing allocations, collating & updating data on housing properties and enforcing compliance with tenancy rules and regulations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Maintain up-to-date records  and database of company housing units
  • Timely allocation of housing units to new recruits in line with policy and procedure
  • Timely allocation of housing units to newly recruited employees
• Draw up Occupancy Rules and Regulations and enforce compliance of same.
  • Ensure every occupant has signed up to Occupancy Agreements
  • Ensure practices within the housing units are aligned to the Occupancy Rules and Regulations
• Accountable for the up keep of the Guest Houses
  • Ensure Guest Houses are properly kept and sanitary condition in good order
• Co-ordinate and monitor maintenance status of housing units
  • Make sure all company properties and housing units are in good condition
• Nurture and sustain a culture of Accountability and continuous improvement within the Housing Section of the HR Department

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Qualification

• Relevant tertiary qualification in social sciences

 
Experience 

• Not less than 2 years’ experience in related role

• Ability to identify opportunities, diagnose problems and develop solutions
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient in the use of MicroSoft Excel and PowerPoint Applications
