Job Description
Key Deliverables
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements.
- Do the filing for the unit.
- Update petty cash electronically.
- Issue payments.
- Prepare receipts.
- Assisting in Budget Preparation.
- Assisting in the preparation of wages and salaries.
- Weekly BDC ageing analysis preparation.
- Record all bank transactions (lodgements & payments).
- Supervise preparation of payment and other vouchers.
- Raise and post all Journal vouchers.
- Ensure that proper accounting procedures are followed and assist in preparation of weekly and monthly reports.
- Monitor inventory of debtors and assist in credit control and debt recovery
- Any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

- Banks
- Statutory Organisations (CEPS, NPA, IRS, etc.)
- Depot representatives
- Station Dealers
- Transporters
Required Skills or Experience
Knowledge/Skills
- Good knowledge of the various accounting packages.
- Familiar with the audit and statutory requirements
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
Minimum Qualification /Experience:
- University degree min. 2nd class lower in Finance/ Accounting.
- Minimum of 1-2 years cognate working experience (Post NYSC) in finance role with at least 1 year in a similar role.
- On-going professional qualifications necessary.
Personality Traits
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of appropriate internal controls.
- Must be hard working.
- Must have good interpersonal skills.
- Must be assertive.
