Job Description
- Ensure implementation the implementation all policies of both private and public pre-school
- Sensitize community members to enroll their wards
- Monitor the supply of teaching and learning materials and use the accordingly
- Liaise with parents and guardians in all matters concerning their wards education
- To exhibit the following qualities in handling children
- Patience
- Child-care
- A good listener
- Innovative
- Knowledgeable
- Friendly
- Should be fluent in English and the Ghanaian language wildly spoken in the area
- Prepare lesson notes along the syllabus
- Exemplify discipline
- Protect and maintain school properties
- Teaching
- Give both class and home assignments
- Mark and make corrections for all assignment with the children
- Record all class marks in the SBA
- Give guidance and counselling service to the children
- Set test items along the syllabus
- Test children and record marks in the SBA
- Any other duties
Required Skills or Experience
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor of education degree honors in early childhood from a reputable institution
- Must have sound knowledge in early childhood development and how that leads to successful learning and development
- Must have a clear understanding of appropriate strategy in teaching early years
- Should be adaptable and a fast learner
- Computer literacy
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar field
