AngloGold Ashanti Limited is currently on a journey to redevelop the Obuasi Gold Mine into a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation. The underground mining operation will be fully mechanized, designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t/day of ore mined.

Positions
The GIS specialist will form a key role across the regional GIS discipline as the Environmental GIS spatial data custodian. They will be accountable for the management and custodianship of all discipline spatial data. This includes updating key datasets as required, validating the accuracy and maintaining the quality control of spatial data, ensuring that appropriate metadata is stored for all datasets and controlling access and dissemination of this data.

The Surveyor, provides the controls and guidance for the progress of day-to-day mine planning design and layout to inform delivery of the quarterly plan. Contribute to the development of Survey procedures and tools for the redevelopment of the Obuasi Mine, and being operationally readyDevelop and communicate a rolling (3-2-1) monthly plan for the budgeted quarter identifying Survey priorities, milestones and events

The Senior Surveyor, (MTS) provides accurate and accessible data capture, validation, analysis and reporting on volumes of all mining works and stockpiles. Must contribute to the development of Survey procedures and tools for the redevelopment of the Obuasi Mine, in particular the modernization of the primary control network and the introduction of the secondary control networkMust develop and communicate a rolling (4-3-2-1) quarterly plan for the budgeted year identifying Survey priorities, milestones and events

The purpose of the Chief Geologist — Exploration role is to manage, design, implement, interpret, budget and report on all aspects of site exploration and development plans with a 12 to 24-month outlook within assigned area of responsibility.

This role is accountable for the implementation of Environmental Management System’s processes, plans and procedures to maintain the environmental legal and social license to operate Obuasi Mine.
The Environmental Officer will be required to assist with EMS administration, incident reporting, corrective action follow up, environmental inspections / audits and advisory functions to all employees where relevant at Obuasi Mine.
