Geopolitical/SBU/Function overview:


 British Council Ghana has been in operation since 1943. Our main office is situated in Accra with a small operation in Kumasi. Over the 70 years, we have established a good reputation for cultural relations and educational services. Our relationship with government, corporate organizations and the academia is strong and we continue to take advantage of these partnerships to expand our reach and impact. We occupy a major place in the English Language assessment market in Ghana and plan to expand this work even further. With one of the world’s largest extractive sectors and buoyant businesses, we have started taking advantage of the significant opportunities for partnership funding, especially in the area of skills for youth. We will continue to explore these further.
 

The Role: 


Project Coordinator - Kumasi

The successful candidate will be responsible for project and operational support to the project manager. He / She will also support the implementation of trainings and delivery to the hub partners while working closely with the Project Assistants. This role will be based in Kumasi supporting the Kumasi and Sunyani delivery.

Given the scale and scope of the project, the programme coordinator will be expected work in a very pragmatic, effective and dynamic way to support the implementation of project activities, coordinate trainings in the northern regions and provide assurance of quality impact.

 

Role Requirements:

·        Experience with supporting project administration

·        Experience with coordinating project activities from planning to implementation

·        Knowledge of basic financial administration

·        Good communication skills

·        Sound knowledge of Media and Communication Management

·        Experience with conducting market research

·        Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse range of demanding stakeholders.
