Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the implementation of the project’s QI portfolio and ensure the integration of QI approaches across all project components.
  • Liaise closely with central-level Ghana Health Service, particularly the Institutional Care Division, to ensure the implementation of harmonized approaches to integrated supportive supervision.
  • Provide technical support to regional and district health management teams in reviewing capacity and progress in using QI to improve compliance with national guidelines
  • Support improved data collection, analysis, and use of key project indicators by Ghana Health Service, USAID, and local partners for timely and effective decision making and planning.
  • Facilities regular peer exchange and shared learning opportunities within districts and regions.
  • Support the development and dissemination of coaching tools and materials.
  • Provide technical support and coaching as needed to regions and districts to carry out supportive supervision of health facilities.
  • Strengthening communication about quality improvement and exchange of best practices among project stakeholders in order to expand capacity and further increase support for quality improvement.
  • Synthesize, document and disseminate the process of institutionalizing quality of care into existing health service structures.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor or Chief of Party.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Master’s in Public Health Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Population Studies or a related field.
