Job Description
- Provide support to the development and implementation of the project’s PMP.
- Support improved data collection, analysis and use of key project indicators by Ghana Health Service, USAID and local partners, including support to surveillance systems and the use of data for timely and effective decision making and planning.
- Build the skills of, and support, facility and community based partners in M&E procedures so that data is generated in a uniform manner and partners understand the meaning of indicators upon which data is collected. Support regular data collection, conduct analysis and prepare reports in collaboration with M&E Team Lead.
- Verify validity and quality of monitoring data from the field; including use in reports on performance.
- Contribute to the preparation of quarterly performance reports with program staff and partners.
- Participate in and support the Project implementation team to document and disseminate lessons learned and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or the Chief of Party.
Required Skills or Experience
- Qualification: Master’s degree in public health or related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum five years of relevant work experience in program monitoring and evaluation and previous experience working with USAID or other USG-funded projects is an advantage
- Job Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Ghana Health Service Standard Operating Procedures in health information management.
- Language Proficiency: Strong writing and oral communication skills are required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to gather, analyse and interpret complex data and financial information related to project programs.
- Prepare reports and provide briefings as well as progress reports based on data collection, field analysis and assessment as required.
- A high level of professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to balance working well in a team environment with initiative, creativity, and independent ability to carry responsibility.
- Must have the ability to plan, develop, manage and evaluate important and sensitive programs/projects.
- Must possess strong computer skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office are required.
