Lancaster University Ghana/Transnational Academic Group Ghana is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a passion for teaching, research and a commitment to excellence for Lectureship role in the university.

We are also looking to appoint an outstanding candidate for Lectureship position in the following areas;

 

Foundation Programme:

  • Introduction to Marketing
  • Introduction to Legal Perspectives
  • Introduction to Physics

 

Duties and Responsibilities

To participate in the University’s teaching and research activities in the Foundation Programme, as follows:

  1. To contribute to the teaching commitments of the Foundation Programme by carrying out:
    • Teaching, examining, and administrative duties on the programme as required;
    • Contribute to the curriculum development and the design of individual courses offered within the foundation programme;
  2. To engage in scholarly activity in the Foundation Programme;
  3. To contribute regularly to foundation programme’s workshops, field trips, project work, discussion groups and collaborative research groups;
  4. To contribute to Foundation Programme’ s academic and pastoral care of its students and to the enhancement of their learning, personal development and achievement;
  5. To develop and maintain links with relevant professional bodies and academic groupings;
  6. To contribute to the development of the interface with external organisations;
  7. Provide cover for colleagues on leave where necessary;
  8. Undertake other duties as required.

Have expert knowledge, teaching and applied research interests in lectureship roles advertised

Experience of teaching in Higher Education (especially at the Foundation programme level would be advantageous)

Experience of module design, curriculum development and quality assurance, using pedagogical research to develop the learning experience

Experience or good understanding of the issues involved in transnational education

An emerging record of research experience in areas advertised, as evidenced by a record of publications comparative to the position and career history
