Purpose of Job
• Manage the operational competitiveness of the Sandvik range of products (Exploration Tools, Geological Products and the Sandvik equipment offering throughout their life-cycle. You will be responsible for the effective drive of profitable sales of Sandvik Exploration offering in close collaboration with Equipment Business Lines within West Africa.
Responsibilities
• Create opportunities to sell and manage product life cycle, tender to contract signing and aftermarket
• Accurate forecasting of quantities to meet market needs using processes and tools defined by global sales
• Lead all exploration product sales activities, tools planning, tools order, product training and product support
• Identify sales opportunities, product pricing and profitability
• Provide business intelligence for the product line and manage customer relationship through the customer relationship database
Relationship & Authority
• Reports to the Business Line Manager - Surface Drills
Qualification Required & Experience
• You should be a results-oriented individual with relevant consultative and analytical skills
• A Degree-qualified engineer or must possess appropriate trade background with equivalent Technical experience. Post Graduate qualifications in Business is required
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role is preferred
• Exposure to international markets along with strong cross-cultural awareness, particularly in remote challenging environments, is desirable
• French language skills would be highly regarded
• Competency in Lean Six Sigma methodology will be added advantage
• Drivers License C
Special Requirements
Successful applicants would be required to work at SMC sites in Ghana and other West Africa countries.
