Job Description
Marketing Assistant
Clean Team is seeking to employ a marketing assistant. We are looking for someone that shares our passion to improving sanitation in Ghana and wants to use their creativity and analytical skills to do so. This position reports to the Channels Manager and will have the responsibility for assisting with the many facets of the sales and marketing efforts including supporting the achievement of sales targets through developing and executing the marketing plan.
Key Duties
- Design and bring to life new marketing ideas to build relationships with communities and grow sales
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities.
- Plan, develop and facilitate the execution of promotional events within specified timeframe.
- Evaluate all campaign elements, recommend improvements and build these improvements into future activities
- Build meaningful partnerships with key community stakeholders
- Manage costs efficiently and to budget, maintaining clarity of key financial metrics, such as customer acquisition cost
- Support in the development of promotional materials for sales and marketing purposes.
- Manage social media platforms by posting regular updates to generate interest in the Clean Team Ghana brand..

Required Skills or Experience
- Good understanding of marketing strategies, sales events and community level marketing.
- Well-organized with an ability to manage multiple work streams at the same time
- Possess a customer-oriented approach to work.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Exquisite communication and people skills.
- Must be Fluent in English and Twi. Ability to speak Hausa will be an added advantage.
- Proactive and have the ability to take initiative
- Must have at least an HND or its equivalent in an accredited institution
To achieve our milestone of 10,000 toilets by 2021 the successful candidate will be expected to devise and improve significantly our marketing approach. The successful candidate will play an important part in ensuring that the Clean Team brand is presented consistently, campaigns are delivered to deadline, and that the company grows visibility in the market. Clean Team is targeting profitable growth in coverage, both in social impact and financial sustainability. The marketing assistant must be conscious about these indicators and make them central to all strategy delivery.
