Prerequisites
• High degree of commercial awareness and be able to understand links between sales and profit, with excellent sales and negotiation skills
Role Accountabilities
• Prepares and implements the hotel’s annual marketing and sales plan
• Forecasts occupancy fluctuations and directs selling activities of maximise revenues
• Create a focus on attracting new businesses
• Responsible for coordinating marketing and promotional activities to meet customer needs
• Must be updated with the factors that influence the hotel industry and gain a deep understanding of the needs and attitudes of a hotel’s customers
• Must identify factors that shape the hotel’s appeal to customers and put in place measures to maintain existing customers

Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Sales/Marketing/Management
• Experience in negotiating and managing transactions from origination through to closure
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
• Highly self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude
• Proficiency in Word/Excel/PowerPoint
• Be reasonably available to meet demands of the business as required
• Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the sales/marketing/hospitality profession
• A minimum of 5 years work experience at a managerial level
