Aspire Food Group is an international social enterprise dedicated to the sustainable practice of farming edible insects. With offices in the US and Ghana, Aspire seeks to farm locally desired insects as a way to address food insecurity. In Ghana, Aspire farms the palm weevil larva, a local delicacy that has been traditionally harvested.
Role description:
​ Aspire Food Group Ghana is looking for a driven, detail-oriented IT Administrator. The Administrator must be tech savvy and passionate about IT. A major component of the role will be training co-workers on software, so candidates must be skilled and comfortable in delivering training to groups. He/she must be very proficient with G Suite functionality, cloud based software, and Microsoft Office Suite programs.
He/she must be comfortable taking initiative and supporting his/her own projects to improve IT systems at Aspire. You must be able to transport yourself to the on-site location of our farm on Mango Road, KNUST Campus on a daily basis.
Tasks/duties​:
- Managing Google Suite accounts including email, calendars, Google Drive, and Google Filestream
- Software license​ ​d deployment and administration including Microsoft Office, Antivirus/adware​ ​s oftware, and browser extensions
- Training team on all software used with an emphasis on GSuite tools, Excel, and task management programs
- Regularly supporting staff by conducting PC optimization checks
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- IT Equipment inventory management, including usaging tracking, downloading data and calibrating electronic/software driven equipment used in the farm
- Manage internet equipment and optimize internet connectivity
- Assist with the development of a variety of models for data analysis in Google Sheets and Excel
- Potential to assist with website design
- Research new technologies/softwares required to meet company’s strategic needs
Requisite Skills:​
- 1 Year experience in an IT related role
- Bachelor’s level degree
- Ability to train non-tech savvy individuals on tech-related skills in engaging way
- Extremely proficient in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Experienced with conducting statistical analyses on Excel
- Ability to create complex macros in Excel and/or basic coding skills is an asset
- Diligent, punctual, hardworking
- Excellent communication skills; familiar with quick & responsive email communication
- Work under little supervision
- Ability to recognize systematic issues and improve processes
- Excellent record keeping and documentation skills
- Must be able to troubleshoot to achieve organizational goals
- Working proficiency in spoken and written English
Compensation​: commensurate with experience
